Fert Research


Fert Research's aims are to promote and encourage the responsible use of fertiliser, to maximise the benefits of fertiliser use to agriculture and to help create wealth for the New Zealand economy.

Fert Research: Funds research into fertiliser and agriculture.

Landcare Trust


The New Zealand Landcare Trust is a non-governmental organisation facilitating sustainable land management and biodiversity initiatives with rural communities. The Trust, funded by the Ministry for the Environment and a corporate sponsor, Transpower New Zealand, consists of a team of co-ordinators and support staff. Regional co-ordinators work with groups around the country, providing support and information to assist them manage their land more sustainably. The website is a key information source for landcare and other community groups and individuals.

New Zealand Forest Owners Association - Environmental Research Database


"The largest database of New Zealand forestry environmental literature ever compiled."

The Forests Environmental Research Group has compiled a database of over 830 pieces of environmental literatrure and developed an invaluable resource for the New Zealand forest and related sectors. While primarily developed for forest industry managers involved in the resource management field, the New Zealand -specific information also has much wider application for consultants, local and central government, and other land based industries such as agriculture and mining.

The Ornithological Society of New Zealand (Inc.)


Founded in 1939 the OSNZ was incorporated in 1953 and now has about 1000 financial members world-wide. The Federation of Maori Authorities Inc. (FoMA) is easily New Zealand's largest Maori business network. FoMA members manage their own resources for the creation of wealth and the betterment of their owners /shareholders. This economic activity supports Maori across different levels from the whanau - small family group, hapu - the extended family or sub tribe, through to the iwi - tribal grouping.
